Your comment was so west-centric, I can’t even begin to answer it. There’s a huge difference between believing in a higher power and not believeing in anything at all. If you believe in a higher power, it’s offensive for other people to wish you conflicting holidays because your religion literally is against it and has a Holy book that LITERALLY says something against it. If you’re atheist…what do you have? Nothing. Na-da. There is no way for Christmas to offend you because you don’t believe in anything at all. And you can’t possibly answer for someone who isn’t atheist because you don’t follow that religion….so you can’t just say Muslims or Jews won’t be offended because you AREN’T one.

Please don’t put words into the mouths of people you don’t represent. My point is that you can’t ignore non-Christian religions in your post and you literally can’t say “merry christmas” isn’t offensive because you represent only one of the groups the statement can offend. (It’s also the smallest group the statement can offend.

I never said that “Merry Christmas” iisn’t offensive to people who are Jewish or Muslim or of other religions. I said that when people say “Happy Holidays” to try not to offend people who don’t celebrate Christmas, it doesn’t make sense because Holidays means Holy Days, so it’s still referencing a particular religion’s holy day(s)’.

I then added that I am an Atheist who is not offended by being wished a Merry Christmas. The “bitches need to relax” part was very obviously a joke.

Also, just because Atheists do not have a holy book or anything of the sort doesn’t mean they can’t be degraded or insulted or offended. That is one of the dumbest things I’ve ever read.

And please enlighten me about a time when atheists were ostracized about their belief? When they were mass murdered for their belief? When they were publically shamed and humiliated for their belief? There’s no such thing as Atheist-ophobia or anti-atheism.
